Live Streaming from the DJI Avata Series

[%PLANS_ENT%]

Overview

This article provides instructions on how to live stream when using DJI Goggles pilot the DJI Avata, DJI Avata 2, and DJI Neo.

You can mirror the video feed from your DJI Goggles to the DJI Fly app on a phone/tablet.
You can then live stream your device's display with the AirData UAV mobile app.

Note: The AirData mobile app’s live streaming feature broadcasts the entire contents of your phone/tablet, allowing you to add flight app overlays, maps, or other supporting info during your flight.
For general instructions on AirData Live Streaming, please see this help article: https://app.airdata.com/wiki/Help/Getting+started+with+live+streaming

Mirroring Goggles to a Phone/Tablet via USB-C Connection

1. Link your DJI Goggles to your DJI Neo or DJI Avata.

2. Connect your DJI Goggles to your phone/tablet via USB-C.

3. Open DJI Fly on your phone/tablet.

4. Tap GO FLY to see the drone’s camera feed on your phone/tablet.

5. Open the AirData UAV mobile app and confirm that you are signed into the correct AirData Enterprise Pilot account.

6. Head to Start -> Live Streaming -> Go Live and select the Live Streaming Room or Share you want to broadcast to, then tap Start Streaming.

*Due to potential interference issues with wireless mirroring of the Goggles, we recommend using this wired method when possible.

Mirroring Goggles to a Phone/Tablet Wirelessly (Only for DJI Goggles 3)

1. Use the DJI Goggles 3’s menu to activate Share Liveview to Mobile Device via Wi-Fi

2. Ensure that Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Location is enabled on your phone/tablet.

3. Open DJI Fly and look for a connection option to your DJI Goggles. This connection should be labeled "Liveview Sharing".

4. Select the DJI Goggles 3 connection.

If this is your first time connecting your DJI Goggles 3 to DJI Fly, you will see a prompt to press and hold the power button on the Goggles for two seconds.
DJI Fly will then give you the option to Join the phone/tablet to the Goggles.
For more info, please see Wireless Connection with Mobile Device on p.31 of the DJI Goggles 3 user manual.

5. Tap Watch Liveview in DJI Fly to see the drone’s video feed.

6.. Open the AirData UAV mobile app and confirm that you are signed into the correct AirData Enterprise Pilot account.

7. Head to Start -> Live Streaming -> Go Live and select the Live Streaming Room or Share you want to broadcast to, then tap Start Streaming.

*In our testing, we’ve seen that this connection method can introduce frequency interference. For this reason, we recommend using the USB-C wired connection described above, when possible.
