New to live streaming? This is a great "getting started" webinar where you can discover how AirData's live streaming feature provides instant visibility and real-time coordination across your operations.
In this session, we showed how to create multiple live stream rooms, set viewer access levels, send automatic email alerts when a stream starts, and manage room sharing from the mobile apps—along with several other live streaming updates and enhancements.
Is there a way, when livestreaming, that you can adjust a setting so the view only sees the camera from the DJI M30T? We have been live streaming fires and weather related damages back to either a local fire department, or the National Weather Service, but the screen seems to be too crowded at times, and they would only like to see the camera view. Same thing if we are looking for a subject, and our law enforcement officials want to view this on their phones, they do not want all the other information, just the camera screen. Thank you! We are trying to do the same information using the M30T. Does Airdata have a fast way to share video feeds only with a command center? Thank you Sebastian
Many of our customers share their Live Streaming video feeds to a command center. The fastest way to do this is by sharing the pilot's "Unique URL and PIN", as described above.
Our engineering team is also working on some additional live stream viewing features that may help with your use case.
Please send us an email at support@airdata.com if you have any additional questions regarding this. Thank you.
Richard is correct that RTMP streaming will allow you to share only the camera feed of the drone. You will need to populate the RTMP link in your flight app, then view the stream using the pilot's Live Stream URL.
If you have specific questions regarding your organization's setup, please feel free to send us an email at support@airdata.com Thank you.
When livestreaming through the app from an iPad, AirData flips the screen sideways. If the iPad is in portrait mode, the AirData feed is in landscape and vice versa. I have switched the the auto-lock on and off on the iPad, but it is always rotated 90 degrees to the left of what I'm looking at on the iPad. Whenever I screen share using other apps, it is normal. This only happens when going through AirData.
While a live stream is not active, open the AirData app on the iPad, navigate to the settings page and toggle on "Force rotate live stream recording". Conversely, if this setting was already enabled, disable it. After adjusting this setting, the stream should appear properly for the viewer.
You can send us an email at support@airdata.com if you continue to have trouble.
Love the new Multi view. Makes sharing more secure by being able to limit how much time based on a unique URL. This is much better than sharing out the pilot's personal URL to everyone and not having the ability to change it after an event. I prefer certain customers to not have 24/7 access to my live stream, but some I do want to have that ability. The multi-view allows that security and also command posts can choose which drone they want to focus on at any time.
