This article provides instructions on deactivating User/Pilot accounts on AirData.


Should I Deactivate or Delete a User/Pilot?
If a User/Pilot is no longer associated with your organization, you may want to deactivate or delete their account.
You will need Admin privileges to do this.


Our recommended best practice is to deactivate User/Pilot accounts when possible.
This is because deactivating an account preserves the pilot data for any flights associated with that User/Pilot.

Deleting a User/Pilot account will reassign all of that User/Pilot’s flights to the AirData account’s Primary Admin.

This historical pilot data may be important in the event of future audits, reports, etc.


How to Deactivate a User/Pilot Account
1. Head to app.airdata.com -> My Account -> Users/Pilots and click the “Edit” link for the User/Pilot you want to deactivate.

Note: You cannot deactivate or delete the Primary Admin on your AirData account.

2. Uncheck all of that user’s listed permissions.

Reset Auto Upload Token to prevent future uploads.
You can do this by clicking “Reset Pilot Token” on a User/Pilot’s “Edit” page.
Signing a user of of AirData UAV and resetting their Auto Upload Token will prevent future uploads from that user's account.
You can email support@airdata.com to request that we force a logout from any apps signed into that user’s account.

Inactive Users/Pilots will be grayed out.

How to Delete a User/Pilot Account
While we recommend preserving pilot data if possible, AirData admins can delete User/Pilot accounts.
