Changing Your Primary Admin User

Overview

This help article provides instructions on changing your Enterprise account's Primary Admin User.

Important Note: Please not simply change the login email and name for your Primary Admin from My Account -> Personal Info.
Doing this will change the Pilot-in-Command for all of the old Primary Admin's flights to reflect the new Primary Admin.

Please also let us know if you would like the original Primary Admin to remain an Admin or be changed to a different permission level (please specify which).

Recommended Practice: Generic Admin Login

Our recommended best practice is to use a generic email login, such as UAVadmin@yourorganization.com, that can be shared between multiple managers.
This allows for easier transitions if program managers change.

Note: If you choose to enable this generic admin email that’s unmonitored, please also let us know who your preferred point of contact’s email address is.


To configure your Primary Admin User with a generic Admin login, please do the following.

  1. Create a new AirData Enterprise Pilot account using this generic login.

  2. Reach out to us at support@airdata.com to request a Primary Admin change.

  3. After the Primary Admin has been changed, have the new Primary Admin sign out of and back into app.airdata.com and the AirData mobile app.

Configuring an Existing Pilot as a Primary Admin

If you would prefer to assign Primary Admin status to a specific User/Pilot, please see the instructions below.

  1. Ensure that your desired new Primary Admin has a verified User/Pilot account on your AirData Enterprise account.

  2. Email support@airdata.com with your request for a Primary Admin change. Please let us know the emails of your current Primary Admin and the new Primary Admin.

  3. After the Primary Admin has been changed, have the new Primary Admin sign out of and back into app.airdata.com and the AirData mobile app.
